Malgorzata Mackowiak was born in Cracow, where she studied art at the Academy of Fine Arts and graduated with honours in Studio of J. Szancenbach at the Department of Painting. She is a scholar of the Ministry of Culture and the Arts. She is doing easel and monumental paintings, sculptures, drawings, illustrations and children’s book illustrations.). Member of ZPAP (Polisch Artist Union) and group POLA existing at “Arka” Foundation of Józef Wilkon.
As an artist and illustrator she has participated in around 100 exhibitions in Poland and abroad, among others in Japan, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, France, Ukraine, Slovenia, USA, UK and Hungary, as well as presented her work at several exhibitions organized by ZPAP (Association of Polish Artists and Designers) and after plain air painting after workshop exhibitions in whole Poland, Moldavia, Ukraine and Hungary.
She has realized few art projects in park areas in Poland, Czech Republic and Kiev (Ukraine).
Artist-in-residence at an international art project “Meeting In Zdonov” in 2008. She represented Poland in an international Art-camp Toyama in Japan in 2012 and was an Artist-in-residence in Takaoka in 2015.
Malgorzata is an author of monumental and illusory painting in Florida (US) and Poland.
Artist presented her work on several individual exhibitions at home country and Ukraine – among others in Cracow, Warsaw, several times in Kiev, Kazimierz Dolny, Zakopane, Rybnik, Jastrzebie Zdroj and Nowa Sol (2014). Malgorzatas paintings are to be found in private collections in her homeland and abroad.
She passionately creates art dolls which she presented on group exhibitions in Łodz in 2005 and in 2015 in Warsaw, Skierniewice (BWA) and Kielce (BWA) as well as in 2016 at an exhibition in BWA Bielko-Biala accompanying the International Festival of Puppetry Art.
Her work is to be found in private collections in the country and abroad.
She is a recipient of a scholarship of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland in year 2020.
